Everything listed here is a brief description of what I might offer in addition to acupuncture, depending on the appointment type booked. Cupping

Cupping therapy utilizes glass cups suctioned to the skin, for the purpose of reducing pain and inflammation, increasing blood flow and relaxation, and can be akin to a deep tissue massage.

Cupping has become very popular among Acupuncturists and massage therapists. I offer it as part of a 1 hour acupuncture treatment, or as a 30 minute cupping only appointment.

Gua Sha

GuaSha has been a common practice in China for hundreds of years. In my practice, I like to utilize it within my facial treatments. It has the benefits of reducing muscle tension and pain, increasing blood flow and collagen in the tissues, decreasing puffiness and redness, and moves fluids, just to name a few.

Ear Seeds

There is an entire microsystem of acupuncture points right on the external ear. Ear seeds are non invasive, and meant to be worn for up to a week while continuously stimulating certain points.

Buccal Massage

Buccal massage takes place inside the mouth. Yes, you read that right, but its not as scary as it sounds.

The hands are protected by medical-grade gloves- and massage is administered to the muscles surrounding the mouth and jaw from the inside of the cheeks. This is meant to target drooping jowls by giving the skin and muscles a natural lift.

Moxibustion

An ancient Chinese Medicine practice, "Moxa" is meant to heat specific acupuncture points with a smoldering herb (mugwort).

Moxa isn't painful, and often feels quite pleasant. It can help with pain, genealogical issues, circulation issues, and can even help induce labor!

Tui Na

A form of Traditional Chinese Medicine massage, typically used to treat pain or sore muscles.
